About this property
To call this a rare opportunity would be an understatement. * 10.57 acres, zoned A-5A, with approx. 600' of shoreline including a pebble beach. * Located in the verdant and magical, "old Hawai`i" area of Opihikao. * The Sellers have had this in their family for 100 years, and --- * They have a copy of the ORIGINAL DEED in Hawaiian, from KAMEHAMEHA III, dated Dec. 26, 1852!! That, and a translation in English are available upon request. This is like finding the Holy Grail of documents! To borrow a line from Indiana Jones: "We are just passing through history, but this IS history!" A cleared trail meanders through the lush tropical forest to the old homesite with tantalizing peek-a-boo ocean views . From there, it winds through coconut groves, past an old rock wall, and on to the ocean. With each step you take, the sound of the waves on the shore beckons you closer. The trail is walkable, but bring your hiking shoes and use extreme caution due to the uneven terrain! Ribbons have been placed along the trail to help guide you. At the shore, you will go past tide pools, and on to a lovely pebble beach, where on a nice day, one could fish, swim or snorkle. Your imagination can run wild with how it might have been to live there back in the "pre-contact" days. Per the Seller, there's a variety of mature fruit trees on the property and a blowhole at the shoreline during high tide. About 20 years ago, a squatter left some vehicles, a small boat and rubbbish in the bushes around the old homesite area. To be sold AS-IS. This is zoned conservation and in SMA. Per Planning, a home can be built if one goes through the proper permit process. There is an old rock wall with a gate on the road. Showings by appt. only. Cell coverage is poor. Property was staked 1/30/25, land area is 10.57 ac, not the 10.95 ac. in TMK, map available. A mesmerizing video is in the attachments.
