About this property
Welcome to 1700 Mona Loop, a single-level retreat blending island architectural charm with an inviting, bohemian-inspired sanctuary. Located in a desirable Hilo neighborhood with underground utilities, this home offers over 2,000 sq. ft. of living space designed for indoor-outdoor living, flexible layouts, and complete relaxation. From the paved drive lined with mature palms and tropical landscaping, with Mauna Kea & Mauna Loa views, enjoy a home rich with personality, natural light, and unique details. At the heart of the main living spaces, high vaulted wooden beam ceilings and color-drenched accent walls frame glass sliders overlooking the pool. The floor plan flows effortlessly from the living area into a cozy reading nook and an expansive formal dining area anchored by a starburst chandelier. Nearby, a secondary living lounge with picture windows offers endless possibilities as a home office, craft studio, or media room. The gourmet kitchen features retro double gas ovens, a stainless steel hood vent, a deep farmhouse sink, subway tile backsplashes, and shaker cabinetry with butcher-block counter space. Extras include glass display cabinets, an open pantry, and a workspace nook. The private quarters provide tranquil rest spaces where each bedroom features sliding glass door access directly to the pool. The primary suite serves as a peaceful sanctuary highlighted by a carved wooden headboard and a spa-inspired bathroom with custom stone vessel sinks, leafy wallpaper, a walk-in tiled shower with rainfall head, and direct pool deck access. Two additional bedrooms, a full bathroom with a copper-toned sink, and a colorful three-quarter bath off the laundry complete the interior. Step outside to your private resort featuring a pool and spa wrapped in wide concrete decking. A covered gazebo creates an ideal setting for outdoor dining. Rounding out the home is a dedicated laundry and an attached two-car garage with built-in storage.
