Land in Honomu

About this property

Don’t miss this rare opportunity to own part of the iconic Kolekole Gulch. Welcome to an extraordinary 38.55-acre Hamakua Coast sanctuary directly across from Kolekole Beach Park—a place where waterfalls, ocean energy, and lush rainforest all collide in one of the most special corners of East Hawai‘i. This legacy parcel offers a rare blend of usable land and dramatic natural beauty. The front portion features approximately 2+ acres of flatter terrain, while the rest of the land stretches deep into the heart of Kolekole Gulch, following the natural contours of the valley alongside the Kolekole Stream. This is the same stream system fed from the famous ʻAkaka Falls, flowing all the way down to the ocean. Follow the water mauka and you’ll discover waterfalls, swimming holes, and peaceful jungle scenery that feels untouched by time. Across the street, Kolekole Beach Park has been beautifully rebuilt with modern bathrooms, showers, picnic areas, and seating, plus a stunning waterfall that cascades into the river near the ocean—making this one of the most loved recreation spots on the island. Imagine stepping off your land and walking right into Kolekole Beach Park, where you can surf, swim, explore, and then come home to your own private valley.
