About this property
Unlock a rare gem in Hawaiian Ocean View Estates (HOVE), an established grove with approximately 100 mature Moringa trees, the legendary "Miracle Tree" revered across Asia, Africa, and beyond for its unparalleled nutritional and medicinal powers. These fast-growing, drought-resistant trees thrive in the area's volcanic soil and arid climate, requiring minimal water while offering natural pest resistance. Moringa leaves pack over 90 nutrients, including high levels of vitamins, minerals, protein, and powerful antioxidants with anti-inflammatory benefits—traditionally used to support health concerns like diabetes and high blood pressure. In Hawaii, the Filipino community knows it as Malunggay, a staple in cooking. Though untended recently and needing some TLC to restore its full potential, this established grove is primed for revival as a small farm, sustainable off-grid homestead, or smart agricultural investment. Capitalize on agri-tourism along Highway 11, where over 2 million annual visitors head to Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Offer tours, fresh products, or wellness experiences amid breathtaking ocean vistas and lava landscapes. Enjoy convenient access directly off the highway, in a growing community with essentials like a post office, gas stations, hardware store, grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shop. Kailua-Kona is just ~1 hour away for major shopping, airport, and amenities. Nearby: stunning beaches (black sand, green sand), hiking trails, and South Point adventures. The adjacent property is currently listed for sale with two rental units (potential for a third), creating expanded income or living options. Embrace self-sufficient island living on fertile land with endless possibilities, your Big Island dream awaits!
