About this property

Experience the pinnacle of island luxury living at Nanaina Kai Estate—a legacy property masterfully positioned along the vibrant Hāmākua Coast. Hāmākua’s namesake evokes the pristine, invigorating air of the region, carried by trade winds that traverse the northeast cliffs. Spanning 25 acres, this architectural masterpiece combines sustainable innovation with wellness-centered design for mindful living, offering spaces for fitness, relaxation, meditation and immersion in nature. The estate boasts a private gym, a solar-heated saltwater pool, and 4 luxury stucco pods with 5 ensuite bedrooms, each positioned to ensure privacy and capture unobstructed views of Waipiʻo, Maui and the endless Pacific horizon. The organic architecture—with curved rooflines, 16' open-beam ceilings and clerestory windows—fills the interior with natural light by day and unveils starlit skies by night, creating feng shui between nature and design. At the heart of the property, the main residence features an open-concept Great Room integrating the chef’s kitchen with the dining and living areas, while the Sapele door at the entry announces a dramatic sense of arrival. The gourmet kitchen is anchored by granite slab countertops and a waterfall island, with custom cabinetry complemented by a 12' passthrough window and a spacious walk-in pantry with adjoining laundry, adding effortless practicality. Floor-to-ceiling pocket doors open to a coral-columned lanai and the infinity pool that appears to merge with the ocean horizon. Throughout the home, rich Chestnut-engineered floors, Shoji doors, lava stone & fine hardwood details create an elevated, spa-like atmosphere. Over 3 acres are fully fenced and landscaped with tropical flora, including 500 agave tequiliana, while the remaining 21+ acres offer boundless possibilities —whether for further agricultural pursuits, cattle ranching, thoughtful development or simply preserving the land. Your dream island luxury home awaits!
