About this property
2525 Maikalani Street is an ideal site for a tropical estate, nestled within the bucolic Puueo Farm Lots. The Puueo Farm Lots neighborhood is comprised of around 80 expansive homesites and offers both privacy and convenience. Located a few minutes from downtown Hilo, former macadamia nut orchards have been transformed into one of the Big Island's premiere agricultural estate communities. 2525 Maikalani Street presents a rare opportunity to become part of this community. Measuring 23.5 acres in area, Parcel 38 provides a sweeping view of the ocean, coastline and Hilo town. The property rises from approximately 800 to 1,000 feet in elevation and features a unique point where two streambeds converge. In addition to macadamia nut trees, small orchards of coffee and cacao have been planted. Included with the 23.5-acre site is a 700-square-foot studio, with a 550-square-foot deck and storage area below. The studio should accommodate a variety of uses and may be an ideal space for guests. This property is currently off-grid and serviced by an Outback power system. HELCO electrical service is available nearby. Ask to see a video of the property.
